Food hygiene and safety are a high priority at East End foods. We work in close partnership and guidance of the local environmental health officers to ensure safety of all our produce.
Our partnership with Associated Farmers, guarantees that we only use chillies and paprika with aflatoxin and pesticide residues below detection level (2 parts per billion (ppb) compared with UK permitted levels of 10ppb)
We have our own project farm to test the growth of peppers with seeds selected from international sources. The crops are subject to our own strict controls
We also grow some of our own crops for our range of spices which, for a manufacturing company is a unique step. It ensures our high food safety standards are not compromised
Crops grown for us in many parts of the world by contracted farmers are monitored by our own inspectors to ensure minimum pesticide levels
All raw materials go through microbiological lab testing at source before export. We employ recognized independent laboratories to issue full test certificates
